This past Sunday, thirty-four talented ladies were chosen to move on the final auditions for the 2012 Georgia Force Cheerleading squad. From now up until the finals, these ladies will go through an intense boot camp to get in top physical shape and hone their cheerleading and dance skills. On Friday, December 2nd at the Gold Room in Atlanta, these ladies will put it all on display, and you are invited to come! The doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the Final Audition Show will begin promptly at 8:30 p.m.

The Gwinnett community needs our help, Force fans! The Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau is holding a book drive to assist the Norcross cluster of schools. The goal is to collect 1,800 new or gently used books so that every kindergarten and first grade child receives a book to read this holiday season. Drop off your books to The Lodge at Simpsonwood sales office by November 30th!

If you think you have what it takes to be the newest addition to the Georgia Force Cheerleading squad, then brush up on your best moves and head out to the Gwinnett Convention Center this Sunday, November 20th 2011 at 9 a.m. for open auditions for the 2012 season! Any enthusiastic ladies with an athletic or dance/cheer background and a positive attitude are welcome! You can’t make the team if you don’t try out!
All auditioning ladies should wear a two-piece audition outfit consisting of a dance or athletic bra top, boy shorts or briefs, flesh-colored tights, and shoes that are suitable for dancing/cheering, tennis shoes or dance sneakers. Registration will begin promptly at 9 a.m., with auditions beginning at 10 a.m. Please bring $30 for the non-refundable application fee, a recent 5″ x 7″ photo, and a valid government I.D. Resumes are optional. All potential cheerleaders must be 18 or older by the date of the preliminary audition.

This week, the Georgia Force announced the newest addition to the ever-growing list of perks for season ticket holders: those who purchase tickets in the first six rows at The Arena at Gwinnett can opt to participate in a behind-the-scenes, guided tour of the Force locker room before any of the nine home games during the 2012 season! The tours will be held before each home game, and will provide Force fans of all ages with a peek into what it’s like to be a professional player in the Arena Football League.
Of course, there are numerous exclusive member privileges for every season ticket holder, even those not seated in the first six rows. Every season ticket holder enjoys the best individual ticket prices available, an invite to the exclusive “Meet the 2012 Georgia Force Party,” guaranteed premium items during give-away nights, a personal account executive, and the ticket exchange program.

This morning, Georgia Force General Manager, Chris Hendley, spoke to the Lanier-Forsyth Rotary Club about the team, his take on sports marketing, and connecting with our community. Chris, like other staff members of the Georgia Force, has years of experience and expertise specifically in the professional sports industry, and is available for local charitable, educational, civic, and other groups throughout Gwinnett County and the Greater Atlanta area to share insight about the Force organization and sports marketing!
Potential speech topics include, but are not limited to:
-Arena Football 101
-The Business of Arena Football
-Embracing Your Fans
-Careers in Arena League Football
-Being a Force in the Community
-The 2012 Season and Beyond!

One week ago today, the Georgia Force announced the launch of the first official holiday card contest. Now the contest is a full week in, and the window for submissions is rapidly drawing to a close!
All Force fans between the ages of 4 and 12 are encouraged to submit their most creative holiday design before Wednesday, November 23rd. The most spirited and artistic design will be chosen to grace the front of the Force’s official team holiday card. The winner will receive a football signed by the team, as well as four tickets to the opening game on March 12th, 2012 against the Cleveland Gladiators!
To enter the contest, all submissions must be mailed to the following address, along with the contestant’s name, address, age, grade, and school:

Planning on auditioning for the 2012 Georgia Force Cheerleading squad later this month? Then be sure to attend the final prep class this Saturday at 2 p.m. at the LA Fitness Midtown II. Boost your confidence by becoming familiar with the fun and challenging routines and dance styles that are typically incorporated into the Force Cheerleaders’ season performances. Attendees will also receive details on the final 2012 auditions in a Q & A session with the Director of Georgia Force Cheerleaders (and former Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader), Joie Ashworth! The Georgia Force “glam squad” (aka trainers, hair, and make-up artists) will also host a fitness and glamour chat session so that all potential 2012 Cheerleaders will feel their best on the big audition day!
The cost of the final prep class is $40, which includes a complimentary one-month multi-club pass from LA Fitness. Appropriate dance attire is required. Preparing for an influx of relatives this holiday season? Then now is the time to get rid of all that old stuff you have laying around your house! Join Force members as they help out at the Atlanta Kids Recycle Day this Saturday, November 12th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Atlanta Civic Center. All of the donations will be distributed to local schools, shelters, and foundations.
